The EGAlim law addresses consumer information on product quality, the promotion of local and French produce, traceability across the agri-food chain and food safety. From 2022 several of its measures became binding.
Buyers have to prove the composition of their purchases, not merely intend to improve it. That shifts the burden onto sourcing records and supplier data.
